demon i am
Fascinating Slate article discussing the science of memory and its depiction in films such as Memento and, more importantly, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
Met this guy Kevin at the Great Lakes the other night, had an extremely drunken conversation about the differences in programming for Motorola and Intel chipsets, something I know absolutely nothing about. He sent a copy of his band's CD home with me. Check out the clips for some good six-shooter-and-a-shot-of-whiskey rock. Smokewagon. Nice Misfits and Cash covers.
Just joined the netflix_operations_discuss Y! Group. Noticed that Netflix is hiring. If I hadn't just started a 12 week freelance project, I'd be tempted to move back back to the Bay Area to work there. Maybe somewhere on the peninsula, so the commute wouldn't be so hellish. I'm getting old and tired; the time for moving to the suburbs draws closer.
AEG is putting out "The World's Largest Dungeon". Stats: 800 pages, 1500 encounters, 15 22x27 maps, every monster in the SRD (Source: Gaming Report). Sounds unbelievably ridiculous. None of the reports included a retail price. I'm sure I'll buy it, skim, and throw on a shelf ;)
